Scottish Wild Land Group
14 May 2002 The Scottish Wild Land Group is run by a small Steering Team and we urgently need people to join the Team to enable the Group to grow. If you have some spare time and are able to help ensure that the Group continues its vital work, then please get in touch. The Steering Team meets monthly on weekday evenings in Team members' houses in the Central Belt (we have no paid staff nor office). You do not need to be a specialist or expert, just have some time and interest in working with others to promote positive policies for wild land. Some of our work is responding to Government policies or consultations, some is producing our widely respected magazine, Wild Land News. We would like to expand our work in key issues such as bulldozed tracks, the impact of fencing, land reform, and defining and enhancing the protection for wild land. If you might be able to help, then please ring or e-mail or write to me or one of the other Steering Team members (contact details for me are listed below, and for other Team members - on the inside back cover of Wild Land News). The Group is facing a crucial period as we need to expand and rejuvenate the Steering Team to enable the Group to continue to protect and enhance wild land in Scotland. If you can help your Group, then I look forward to hearing from you.
